About Us
About Us
Three sisters. One idea.
WE’RE SISTERS.
We didn’t sit down to start a children’s clothing brand.
Moss & Loom came out of the conversations we’d already been having for years.
About our children.
The things we bought for them.
The things we couldn’t find.
The things we wished were made a little differently.
One of those conversations stayed.
And eventually, we did something about it.
That’s how Moss & Loom began.
AHANA ANAND
Children, stories & childhood.
Ahana has spent years building a world around children.
She is the founder of Tadpole, a platform rooted in slow childhood, emotional connection and a different way of looking at the early years.
Her work spans spaces for children, books, stories and writing about childhood. Tadpole describes her simply as an Observer of Childhood.
At Moss & Loom, she brings that same instinct to something much more ordinary:
the things children wear every day.
MEHER SETHI
Textiles, fabrics & making things properly.
Meher comes from textiles.
Her work gives Moss & Loom something rather useful when three sisters decide they want to make children’s clothes:
she actually knows how clothes get made.
Her experience sits within the world of fabric sourcing and garment production—from understanding constructions and materials to what happens between choosing a fabric and producing something at scale.
Through MS Corp, that world spans fabrics, laces and garments, with experience across cotton, organic materials and other fabric constructions.
So when we say we thought about the cotton, the thread, the label and the way something is finished—
Meher is usually the reason we know what we’re talking about.
TISHYA SETHI
Education, research & asking a lot of questions.
Tishya comes from the world of international education and research.
Her work sits at the intersection of higher education and India, and she currently works with the University of Pennsylvania Institute for the Advanced Study of India. Her professional background also includes experience in the education sector and international higher education.
She brings the researcher of the family into Moss & Loom.
Which means things get questioned.
And researched.
And questioned again.
Very useful for a brand.
Slightly exhausting for her sisters.
AND THEN THERE’S THE CHILDREN.
They were there before Moss & Loom.
They were there while we talked about it.
They were there while we made it.
And they’re usually there while we’re trying to work.
We already knew who we were making for.
They were busy running around the house.
